Fitch fought his potential abductors and by doing so he saved the life of his brother Abercrombie.
Unfortunately Fitch could not recover from the injuries he received from these cruel and heartless people and he succumbed. Fitch lost his battle for life on March 5, 2007 at 11:56pm at the University of Georgia.
Rest in Peace Dear Brave Fitch... For you we will continue to fight!!!

LEWIS AND CLARK

Lewis and Clark are two paints that are about 2 years old. They are very respectful young men. These boys are now ready for adoption. They are approx. two years old. As you can see Lewis has a bit of a deformity in his left leg but it does not bother him, he is sound. We would like to see this duo stay together.. they came in together and think they have been together all their lives... Maybe you can consider adopting "Lewis & Clark" and showing them a "New World" Seperately their adoption fee is $900 each but together it is $750 for the two of them.....as you can see we would like them to stay together. Romani

Romani is approx 5 years old. He is a gorgeous Draft. Looks to have Shire in him. He has a wonderful temperment and easy to handle. He has had a bit and a saddle which he takes fine. He had not been trained to ride but is in training with us now. He has two gorgeous blue eyes and is absolutely stunning. He is a gentleman, willing to learn and also very smart ... easy to train. He would be a great horse for anyone willing to take the time with him and who has the experience. Sir Lancelot

Sir Lancelot is an amazing roan large pony gelding. He would make a great horse for a young rider. He is about 15 years old. He went to a show last week and did very well. The boy knows his stuff. There is nothing he will not do for you. He is a very social, loves people, horses and ATTENTION. He knows all his cues and rides well, he has gone on trails as well. Daisy and Dagwood

This is Daisy and her friend Dagwood. I am going to put a post out about them this week. We really REALLY want these two to go together. They are absolutely gaga over each other and a definite sadness when they are apart. We had Dagwood t Mida once because he was colicing and they were a wreck without each other. We had to go back and get Daisy. They are both in their late teens to early twenties, very calm and wonderful to ride. But it is very important to us that they remain together. So if anyone who knows anyone that is looking for a couple of wonderful older horses please think of these two!!

IMACUTIE

This sweet little yearling was rescued from the Sugracreek kill auction in May. He has had a horrible life up until he was rescued. He was sick, completely unmanageable and I do not think he ever even saw a comb or a brush.. This poor boy was so afraid and sad. Things are different for him... Life made a wonderful change for him. Now he is a beautiful yearling with a great life ahead of him. He loves to play, he is great with any type of grooming and is wonderful to lead. Please consider adding this boy to our family. Harry

Harry is approximately 6 years old. He is a beautiful TB cross. He needed time off for one of his legs and still will need a couple more months but he shows very little signs of any lameness any longer. He runs and plays in the paddock effortless. We have not been on him yet but he is a beautiful mover and takes the bit and saddle without a problem. He looks to be the full brother of Meadow. He is very calm and easy to work with. . PRISCILLA

Priscilla is a wonderful large pony. Approximately 7 years old and is great to ride. She has been very well trained and is looking for her "forever home". Priscilla was rescued during the Home for the Holidays rescue mission and was purchased out of the killpen at Sugarcreek. Priscilla is a beautiful Morgan Paint cross, She is 14.1 Priscilla is doing very well. It is obvious that Priscilla at some point had a very bad experience in stalls. We have spent time getting her used to it but that is where she has her problems. She can be very aggressive in the stall but once she is out of it she is fine. Priscilla is a great large pony for an experienced rider, she is great in the paddock, fine with leading, bathing, her feet done, trailering.. Goes on trails, has started on jumps and doing very well. It is just in the stall where she has a problem but she is doing much better and will only improve with time and patience. As beautiful as she is we do not recommend her for a child or a beginner. She needs someone who is good with horses and will continue to work with her in her stall.Priscilla's adoption fee is $1250. JACKSON

Jackson is a big beautiful bay Standardbred gelding. He is a driving horse and now learning to ride.. He is very gentle... a gentle giant A kind horse. Jackson is ready to find his forever family and be home for the holdiays... as big as he is is as loving as he is and his favorite thing is to be hugged and hug back. . Jeffrey

This is Jeffrey, he is a Saddlebred Gelding and he is probably the most loveable horse we have. He gets along with everybody and every horse. He just loves to be loved. His favorite thing to do is to PLAY PLAY PLAY. He and Frankie Blue Eyes play with their buckets and their stuffed animal in the Paddock. It is so cute to watch him carry it around the paddock..Because of his hip he is a companion horse only. Jeffrey is very good with younger horses and he loves mares. He also is good at keeping order in a paddock. He does not allow anyone to be picked on. He probably could take a light rider but we do not want to risk it. HEARTBREAKER

Heartbreaker is a medium pony. She was rescued in the HFH 2007rescue mission. She came in wild but is now under sadlle. She is a very smart poiny and loves to work. She would make a wonderful project for someone with the knowldge to finsh her training. Until then she will continue training with us. She loves to run around the pen showing off her balanced natural movement. This eyecatching painted pony filly is ready to become a loved family member and a champion. CHILL

Chill is approximately 16 years old and a quiet gelding. His name certainly describes his demeanor. He just likes to Chill. He is a very calm boy and he can be ridden. You can see him here being clipped. Chill is partially blind in one eye but you would never know it. He is a very kind and loving horse. I think he is just confused as to why this happened to him. JADA

Meet Jada... Jada is about 17 years old. We are not sure if she is pregnant we do not think so.. but may have been a broodmare for a good portion of her life so she is a little "saggy" so to say. Jada is a vrey sweet draft pony. She was grumpy when she first came in and you can hardly blame her. Her life was totally turned upside down. We gave her time to relax and know that she is safe and now she a happy girl and is ready for her forever home. Jada's adoption fee is $500. Covergirl

Covergirl is a beautiful little blue eyed paint pony, she seems to be in foal and due soon. She did start with some trust issues but now is very good and needs a loving and gentle family. She would make a wonderful little lead line pony and has great movement. She is a very special little pony to all of us. . Covergirls's adoption fee is $1000. Penelope

Penelope is a very sweet Standardbred mare. She is really sweet and gentle. Today we evaluated her and she is also good to ride. She would make someone a very nice and faithful friend to trail ride. Zippo

Zippo is an awesome medium pony. He rides great and would make a fantastic show pony, trail horse or loving pet. Zippo is ver cute and he knows it. He needs a good rider who will not let him get away with his ponytude that he can have every once in a while. Zippo does need work done on having his feet. We are able to do it but he can be a handful. Zippo needs a family or a person who is ready to work and ride... that is what he loves to do best. The horses are all UTD on their shots and worming. Camilla is approximately 14.3 hands and about 6 years old. She is a wonderful horse. Very eager to give and very loving. She is very smart. She had not been ridden since we got her and the video his her first ride here. She did very well and obviously is a good horse with a level head. You will have a lifetime of fun with her. The Colonel

The Colonel is a very special boy to all of us. He came in so thin.. we were all guessing what breed he was because it was hard to tell because he was so thin.. Well I won the guessing game, he is a Saddlebred. The Colonel stands approx 16.1 hands and is very loving and great to ride. He is approximately 12 years old... and is ready to find his forever home. MIDAS

Midas is approximately 15.2 hands, he is a Thoroughbred cross gelding, 5 to 6 years old. He is very responsive and love to work. He requires an experienced rider. Sophia

Sophia is a very gentle and loving Belgian Mare.. She stands about 17 hands and is full of love. She can be ridden on trails and keeps her rider very safe. Sophia has a small tumor in her eye that the doctors said was cancer but it is not growing and not causing her any discomfort. They see no reason to treat it or have it removed. She has full sight. Sophie also has elenphantitis in her back legs but that is not causing her any problems and the treatment recommended for that is just hosing with cool water when it acts up as well as massage. She is just the best mare and there is nothing you cannot do on her. Sophia's adoption fee is $500 but we would consider less to the perfect situation . VIOLA

Viola is a approximately 18 years old. Very sweet and nice to ride. Viola is doing great. This girl would make someone a wonderful horse. She is so calm and takes such good care of her rider. She is a large pony.. For someone who is looking for a very sweet, very safe and very sane horse, Viola is it. She is so loving and LOVES he trail rides. Hanna Banana & Billy Boy

Well the time has come for Billy and Hanna to find their forever home. Billy and Hanna have been through very much together and they have been each others strength. When Billy got sick Hanna was being adopted and the vet said, "no, not now, he needs her." So now we have decided that they just must stay together. He kept her going and alive at the auction and she got him through his illness here when he only had a 5% chance of survivial. They are a beautiful pair of Belgians. Hanna is about 14 years old and Billy is about 5 years old. They also come with a very large family that will want many updates. . Their adoption fee is $1500. Louise

Louise is a gorgeous TB Mare approximitely 15 years old . She is broke broke broke and pregnant. Louise was a neglect case as she and her sister Thelma were being starved. Louise has about another 75 pounds to gain but is doing great and has absolutely no issues. She has a wonderful good nature and oh so sweet. Momma's name is Impress Otoes Genie...baby's sire is CeeFalcolena and we can get the reg. papers for these two. They were not bought from a killbuyer. We bought them from a breeder as a result of the hay shortage in South Carolina. Momma is a GREAT rider, obviously started in reining. YEARLINGS

Here are the yealrings .... Hope and LB.. Both yearlings. lead, tie and load.. very loving. LB has since been clipped which I of course did not get a picture of yet and he is a bay roan. He looks lavendar and has a black and silver mane.. He is going to be one GORGEOUS BOY!!!.. Hope..well she needs no explanation she is a phenomenal Buckskin paint.
